This is what makes this war a total changer. Systems costing millions and millions of dollars are easily taken out by drones costing a few hundred dollars. Tanks, even modern western ones, can be taken out of the fight with a couple of the same cheap drones. If European military wants to stand a chance at all they will have to adept quickly to the lessons learned in Ukraine. This war is unbelievably asymmetrical and losses are exponential for the side that’s on the attack. A few million dollars invested in drone hardware, drone technology, AI and some handy kids with controllers can do more damage then loads of multi billion dollar defense systems. Any military operation will need comprehensive drone protection, which proves to be very difficult.
