Good Morning,
I got gifted two bottles of alcohol seen on the picture, however I cannot find any starka(?) from Lithuania, when I google it, a Polish Starka pops up
Would any Lithuanian would be kind enough to tell me what are those or tell me how much are these worth?
Best Regards

just drink
One bottle of a similiar one is worth around 5 euros, although I’ve never seen this one in a regular supermarket.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Why does it matter how much it cost? Just enjoy your gifts.
This looks to be discontinued, only stock of it I can find is from Ukraine, where it costs about 5.1eur for 0.5l bottle.
It’s a “special edition” one, but it’s still a cheap (and not very tasty, to put it mildly) drink that costs ~12 Eur in Lithuania (and ~5 Euro in Ukraine, for example).
It’s not a cheap drink as “cheap booze”. it’s a traditional spirit.
How much it costs deppends on the market and tax.
The one you have is aged for 30 years and it’s produced in Vilnius. By Vilniaus degtine.
Edit: just to add, this spirit was very popular in the early 20th century. Starka was considered a higher-end spirit, more associated with the elite and formal gatherings rather than everyday drinking. Drink of choice for the pocket flask in those times.
Also there was a custom in noble Lithuanian and Polish families to bury a barrel of Starka when a child was born and only open it on their wedding day.
Someone hates you… It’s the worst drink money can buy and was born by mixing leftovers when soviet politbureau asked for a new drink. 😃
Current day, consumer grade, half a litre cost on average 12€. (source Maxima food store). What you got there, looked to me like an above consumer grade item. I would price your items in the picture at 30-50€. I am no expert.
I never seen one like this in me whole life 😳. I know the brand but never seen this particular bottle
