    He’s a decent enough actor, I guess. But I’ve never been wowed by anything he did

  7. Can he please just retire and spare us already? Save some work for the younger generation of actors, we’ve seen you in everything already dude. Edit: to clarify, I’m not being an ‘ageist’ or whatever, I just think he’s ridiculously overexposed by Hollywood and I’d like to see other actors get more opportunities.

  10. I was somehow still expecting this to be some sort of sci-fi reimagining of the Odyssey. Very stoked to see Nolan take a crack at a fantasy story

  11. I haven’t seen a Nolan movie since inception or dkr. Whichever was last, lol. I just don’t wanna spend time watching pretentious art house stuff from him anymore. Is this an unpopular opinion?

  12. I hope they reveal it’s a 2 part movie there’s no way they can fit thay story into one movie

  16. Anyone here grown up with the TV movie? I went to a school run by the Hellenic community and whenever the teachers wanted to put a movie on it was always some b grade version of The Odyssey. From memory it was super inappropriate for kids haha.

  17. July of next year is going to feel like an eternity for me. This and Mickey 17 are the only movies I’m super hyped for right now 

  18. Will it have the dog scene? If yes, then I couldn’t possibly see this.

  22. Hollywood: When in doubt, re-film the Trojan War or something vaguely Greco-Roman and cast *very* American actors.

  23. It’s still wild to me that they adapted the Epic musical into a movie, hopefully they keep the songs tho!

  26. It just looks a bit, drab. Yet another movie afraid of color. That red looks basically black.

  37. Not at all who I would’ve headcast (the Armand Assante TV special forever has him as my headcanon Odysseus) but Damon has chops. Excited to see this, just hoping it really plays with the actual story and doesn’t become a hodgepodge of mythology things bc Greek. Thankfully the Odyssey has so many great adaptations that even if this is bad it won’t really matter.
