Ghana’s former finance minister wanted fugitive for corruption • FRANCE 24 English

Ghana’s former former finance minister has been declared a fugitive. On Wednesday the special prosecutor gave Ken Ofori-Atta an ultimatum: give himself up or be tracked down. He is in the spotlight, accused of having released tens of millions of dollars in public money for the building of a vanity project conceived of by the former president. The massive cathedral still has not been built. FRANCE 24’s correspondent, Justice Baidoo has more.

  1. The rat is at large, what about the other rodent who also run away in the name of stroke? (Rodent Bediatuo) osp should alert interpol asap.

  2. ⛔️The Ex. Finance Minister was RESKLESS with Public Funds + Involved in Fraud and Money Laundering Scheme.

  3. The sad part of this story is that his cousin the president was part of all this nonsense and their party people knew what was going on but kept quite.

  4. The other baffling thing with this criminal party involved in these scandals was that, when their vice president, Dr. Bawumia, was campaigning to become president, he actually promised that if elected, he would continue the non existent cathedral project! Everybody knew that project was just in name to loot money from the country! All that they have on that compound was one large whole turned into a swimming pool for $58 million. There’s no building. At the very beginning, when I heard $25 million had been paid to that Ghanaian international architect, UK or U.S. resident, I just knew that this must be money laundering. It just didn’t make any sense that a country, whose citizens were going through so much suffering would have as its priority, the building of a cathedral! How foolish can anybody be, to believe this nonsense? And then Bawumia promised to continue if elected! In other words, the looting was going to continue on behalf of his former boss. Thank God he lost the election.
