At least the meter bit you read is above water – for now. Ours is just in a tiny 20cm hole, about 75cm down and it’s always flooded, even in a drought. They try and pump it out to read it and it’s fun to watch. Trouble is we’re moving next month and I’m going to have to give it a try!
She told him to meet her,
Near the water meter,
That’s under water by a meter,
So he could meat her.
Sensible way to go for smaller households IMO
Shows up in the bill
You can get a water pump that you attach a drill to. Might take you a while to pump out but it’d get there.
If you work out how to get rid of condensation inside the meter’s transparent plastic cover, please let me know – I can’t even read mine because of big beads of water on the cover
Call the water board they will sort it
I live top floor in a block of flats, mine is somewhere in the street but never seen it. Water company come out every 6 month and do a meter reading. My last flat was same situation but it was always under water. They said if I want them to come and drain it so I can read it I will be charged
Call your water service provider and inform them that the meter is flooded. It’s down to them to resolve as it could stop the meter working.
Are these meant to be outside?
Mines in the cupboard under the kitchen sink
World’s smallest Turtle lair.
If you are overly bothered get a puddle pump and pump it out but the chamber will fill up again.
