Furnished.lu requesting deposit before signed contract

Hi all,

After researching the rental market I decided to go with agency before I find another place to live in. I’ve read some bad reviews about [furnished.lu](https://furnished.lu), but I decided that it can be fine for my first 3 months until I find something permanent.

However, after I signed up for a room, and paid a booking fee, I received a mail that they expect me to pay deposit etc. etc. before they guarantee the room and they will only send the contract afterwards.

I am very confused now, if it wasn’t a popular agency I wouldn’t have proceeded. Is this a typical process with agencies in Luxembourg?
