Swim England will be holding trials for Great Britain’s Senior Men’s and Women’s water polo squads on Saturday 15 March 2025 at Haberdashers Aske School.

The Great Britain water polo national programmes, which are organised by Swim England on behalf of Aquatics GB, are continuing to work towards the long-term objective of being competitive at world and European levels.

Swim England has recently appointed new volunteer coaches and team managers for both teams and are looking forward to starting planning for the next four-year cycle and beyond. Therefore, the national governing body will be hosting a trial for athletes who wish to be part of the squads moving forward.

As part of the trial, athletes will be required to swim a timed 400m and showcase both their technical and tactical abilities as required in their daily training environment in order to develop as a national programme athlete.

Depending on the number of athletes invited to trial, the format of the trial may differ. Therefore, further details of the session will be included in the trials invitation following an athlete’s expression of interest.

If you would like to receive further details regarding the trial, please complete the expression of interest form and provide a reference from your home club coach to support your application.

1. Expression of interest forms – with a reference from your club coach attached – to be received by 12 noon on Tuesday 25 February 2025.
