  1. Trump won in large part because people had a collective memory that in 2019 things were better for them personally than 2024 was. Welp, in the summer of 2025 people will viscerally know that summer of 2024 was better. The pain of having spent the rest of winter and spring commuting, the loss of flexibility managing home life, and the menace of potentially being fired will run into the additional demands of kids out of school.

    I believe the summer will be when Trump’s polling tanks and doesn’t recover. For now people have tuned out and are willing to give Trump a shot. Come summer when commutes & schedules are still harder and no costs have come down is when the anger will emerge. People will tune back in. Plus it is a lot easier to protest in 70 degree weather than 20 degree weather.
