  1. The reality is people have disabilities and as we work longer there will be more people with disabilities in the workforce. It is very clear the decline in her performance was related to her health and she should have been allowed time to allow her medication to work and adjust her work practice.

    For everyone who wants to say this is not how businesses work, please remember no one is guaranteed their health and this might be you one day. Also, if performance does not improve with reasonable accommodations, employees can then have their employment terminated. They don’t get to hang on indefinitely on the basis of a disability.

    I hope she has found suitable work.
