Saint Pierre and Miquelon and the Faroe Islands are territories, so Iceland is the ONLY country with less sunshine the Ireland.

  1. Let’s not kid ourselves that we’d be out in it anyway. Like Nosferatu I am.

  2. Every Irish person who has ever bought a telescope knows all about our cloud cover 😭

  3. Knew it was bad, didn’t realise it was that bad. Keep chuggin the Vitamin D, folks!

  4. Didn’t realise there was other countries other than the UK and Iceland basically as cloudy as us in Europe lol

  5. Just thinking about that Star Wars lore book where Domhnall Gleeson’s Big Irish Head and its Big Completely Normal Irish Complexion get a little fluff paragraph about why Hux is so unsettlingly pasty.

  6. I get embarrassed if I go anywhere that actually has sun.

I’m so white now that the sun just makes me a blinding shade of white when it hits my forehead.

    I feel like uncle fester.

I’m considering using a slightly tinted moisturiser just to get a base before I head away in April.

  7. Jesus that’s depressing…

We are on Day 10 of zero sunshine hours

  8. And if you’re on the east coast, consider yourself lucky, we get almost 50% more sunshine than the west!

  9. Imagine being from the Faroe Islands, Jesus Christ. Also they only have like 3 hours of sunshine in winter, Summer temperatures that are only like 12 degrees. And constant rain and winds all year round. Truly the worst climate on Earth

  10. I find this hard to believe, Poland is very sunny in the spring/summer

  11. How are these numbers extrapolated? It can vary a lot within the same country. Arequipa gets almost 3 three times as many annual sunshine hours as Lima.

  12. Poland?????? When the sunny season starts in May in PL it doesn’t quit until September. There are annual water shortages and fire advisory closing down forests. Htf is Poland up there? Did they measure only that one village near Suwalki?

  13. Went to Lisbon once during winter, overcast for LITERALLY the entire week

    Still got sunburned

  14. Having lived in Belgium, it’s sometimes hard to believe that Ireland is worse here – it felt way more grey than in Ireland. In the sense that at least the north atlantic winds would keep the clouds moving over Ireland so you’d get pockets of sunshine every now and then. In Belgium it’s literally just a blanket of monotone grey and it stays for weeks!

  15. Interesting that we have almost the least amount of sunshine yet one of the highest rates in skin cancer 😔

  16. A bit less rain and a smidge more sun would be nice but our weather/climate is grand really. It’s no bullshit, functional weather.

    Generally warm pleasant summers.

    Mild to chilly winters.

And the creamy in-betweens of spring and autumn.
