Im going to assume it’s one of those pig looking dogs isn’t it.
~~Edit: My assumption was wrong.~~
Edit 2: Just read the article instead of being lazy and relying on a reply, it was indeed one of those pig looking dogs.
Why did I not have to open the article to know the dog looked like [this](https://i2-prod.liverpoolecho.co.uk/article31030117.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200e/0_The-dog-next-to-one-of-Emmas-children.png)
Interesting story recently adopted dog allowed to play with unfamiliar kids absolute recipe for disaster storys don’t seem to add up too. Bet you alcohol was involved.
They rescued a dog of unknown background and only 8 weeks later allowing it around young kids.
Thankfully no one died and the kids weren’t hurt.
What’s the biggest dog breed you think you could take in a life or death fight?
King charles spaniel for me.
Idk why but why are so many of them called Bruno that attack ppl
(Im generalising from what ive seen in the media)
Let me guess, toddler mauler 5000?
Gosh, it’s almost like their ancestors being chosen to bait bulls, then later fight to the death in pits, might have something to do with behaviour 🤔
Experienced dog handlers have been mauled by these creatures, they are not pets
If the paper asks for a photos to identify you for the article why would you send in such a heavily filtered photo?
So…
They rescue a dog 8 weeks before but are so clueless they can’t tell the breed (or know its a bully but can’t say so because that would make the transfer illegal)
Then decide this rescue who you don’t know should be fine with 3 kids in a confined space.
This is why we need licenses or mandatory insurance on all dogs.
Edit..
Looking at the picture it didn’t want to be near that kid but quick, take a picture for insta/FB to show off my new big dog
What a surprise, the dog was part of the bull terrier family (although I don’t know enough about them to determine if it was Staffy sized) – but the description of it tightly gripping a leg and not wanting to give up sounds very similar a certain breed (not recognised by the Kennel Club) largely developed for its large, stocky appearance and renowned for being easily angered (although owners of examples found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to capital punishment invariably describe them as gentle and harmless, especially around their children).
Named Bruno. Also goes by the stage name “Kiddie-Mincer 7000”.
“under the illusion it was a stuffy breed”.
Staffies are still bloodsport dogs. The situation might not have been much better if it was a Staffy.
A rescue dog that looks like a fighter is probably as much red light as you’re gonna get.
Not the kind you go for when you know it’s going to be around kids.
Some people get off on the danger of owning fighting dogs then act shocked when they get attacked.
I don’t really care if these dogs are attacking their owners. Much rather a stupid a reckless owner being attacked over a random innocent person or dog.
She said the dog was told off by ‘the man of the house’ for growling at her son on her lap, after she told the dog to stop and go away and the dog did stop and go away. AFTER that he was ‘told off’ while children were sleeping in the room with them all in. Have I got that right because it doesn’t make any sense?
This is all very confusing, why did the police think the children were awake at 11.40pm playing?
Before anyone starts going on about the breed thing again, it can happen with any dog, not just the ones that are in the news and people should be well aware of that. One time my labradoodle viciously attacked a chicken that I left on the counter, as a result of this we couldn’t turn the leftovers into a curry for the next night and had to have canned pie instead.
What’s wrong with Labradors? Why do people want to roll the dice with these breeds. Beyond me
Can’t remember the last time I heard of a Golden Retriever doing this kind of thing.
So the father-in-law bravely ran and hid upstairs while his wife, daughter-in-law and grandchildren fought for their lives against a dog. Jesus Christ.
3 young kids at 25 and bringing a terrible dog into that hectic environment. 🥴
I know the owner personally, him and Mrs in a real bad way.
This is why I’d never rescue a dog, or get a breed like that where it’s more likely things like this happen.
8 weeks is not enough time to have it around children. This was a disaster waiting to happen. You can see it’s a big dog, no matter what breed it is. If it came from a shelter some serious questions need to be answered.
>- I had been sitting on a gaming chair in the kitchen.
Maybe I’m a bad person, but I’m judging them on this sentence alone
Ran upstairs.
Weak.
