The fact that some of Spaceys victims continue to speak about their experiences 20-30 years later should show him what a devastating impact his behaviour had on them. But of course he’ll never understand that as he still refuses to take any accountability for his actions.

  14. Guy even took issue with referring to himself as a victim considering the horrible things Spacey did to others. His take was more about how we reduce our own experiences and talk ourselves out of discomfort to not cause a fuss. He went through life thinking he was overreacting about how Spacey made him feel only to find out some 20 something years later how bad he really was.

    I once had a driving instructor that was a little too friendly. “Jokingly” telling me to sit on his lap, making me drive to his house, stuff like that. I was 16. It was super weird but I just thought I wasn’t as friendly as everyone else and it was a me problem. 10 years later he was arrested for molesting a student.

    It’s such a weird feeling looking back at a younger and more naive version of yourself and seeing the trouble you narrowly skirted.

    Fuck you Spacey. Guy Pearce has always been my favorite actor and this experience is important. It’s not far off from Fraser, whose career was ruined for speaking up at the time. Spacey was close to 40 during LA Confidential. “Some 28 years later” doesn’t count when you’re a fucking full on adult 28 years ago.

    Not the best defense. I just watched LA confidential for the first time a few weeks ago. They were so good. But I know not to idolize humans…. Most are crap. But there are still many good ones
