The voters have to come out in force and show them that anything less that boots on the ground now (peace settlement or not) is unacceptable and will only lead to more war and insecurity further down the road.

This headline is very misleading, it’s talking about deploying a peace keeping force after a ceasefire.
In terms of readiness to fight a war with a peer or near peer adversary, the british army is absolutely not ready. They’d run out of ammo in weeks. Which is better than the german army who would apparently run out of ammo in days.
The European nations involved in Libya ran out of precision guided munitions long before the job was done. They’d need orders of magnitude more ammunition for tackling russia. I hope some progress has been made, but it is obvious we still have a very long way to go.
All the remaining democracies must unite. F. The orange clown and his nazi sidekick.
