  1. My instinct was ‘No way was Takeshi’s Castle on in the 80s’. But yep, it aired from 1986-90. Listen, fair play

  2. I dream of having the enthusiasm of Craig Charles talking about Takeshi Castle.

  3. Class TV this was. I remember some dude fought tooth and nail to win. After it was all said and done, his reward was a trouser press.

  4. I loved those ‘happy clappy jappy chappies’ after school. I rewatched some it of recently, Craig Charles is such a treasure

  5. 12 people have been on the moon, only 8 people have ever won Takeshi’s Castle.

  6. I used to watch this pretty much every day after school.

Malcolm in the middle, Takeshis castle, Futurama, peak TV

  7. Ladies favourite General Lee!

Rice bowl downhill, Ball cupping, uphill gardening, its all coming back to me now haha

  8. Craig made this even better because even he had no idea what was going on

  9. I loved watching that, was prime tv for me. Crazy how more people have been to space than won that show.

  10. Man, y’all going on about Takeshis Castle…. wheres my Fort Boyard gang at?

  11. I swear it looked higher quailty when i was a kid

  12. Classic show. Absolutely loved this, what a great gameshow – they don’t make em like this any more

Best moment was the guy on the wobbly bridge getting absolutely hammered by cannonballs, holding on for his dear life, getting shot in the gonads – loved it
