
It may have been asked already but I do understand the colors being worn for the duct tape around plate carriers/uniforms. But does the tape not show out in the field when trying to use camo?

I mean. Up close? Yeah. It kind of does. However, it’s a lot harder to spot behind a dirt patch amongst smoke and death.
It might increase risk of spotting but it cuts down on the risk of blue on blue..
Or yellow on yellow in this case.
Most fire fights are over 100m
As long as you aren’t standing in the open it doesn’t make it worse really.
There is kinda an odd effect that seeing bright colours your brain will still come up a reason for it not being a person. Its the human shape our brain kinda picks up on super sharp which camo really helps with
Definitely helps with friendly fire mistakes
Them and Russians likely share a lot of common gear so it is wise to be able to tell your guys from theirs.
