We must just start eating the campaigners, they must be organically grass fed at this point.
If we can increase the welfare of the animals we eat, that’s great, don’t see why anyone would have a problem with that
Wait till they hear about the pigs being killed in gas chambers
This is a positive step towards reducing animal cruelty though. So, good.
Some people have way too much time on their hands: “won’t someone think of the sea cockroaches?”
What about the dead pigs they sell? Pigs are just as clever and as emotionally intelligent as dogs. You think they’d start there rather than with sea bugs? Even if they are free range etc, the way they die is pretty horrific.
I’m a vegetarian but not because of the animal suffering argument.
But I would ask, if there was even a small chance that farmed animals undergo enormous suffering, would it not make a difference to your choice?
They should start stocking live prawns at the fish counter instead.
Somewhat unrelated but – why is one prawn on the picture not shelled, when all the rest of them are? Is it an AI picture?
I mean, it’s not outwith the realms of possibility. We still eat cephalopods, and they’re legitimately intelligent creatures capable of complex thought.
When I think about trying to reduce suffering in the world, I think of all the nasty shit humans do to each other, and then I laugh at the idea that we’ll ever progress far enough to end animal farming and animal suffering.
Especially after working for a farmer. Some of them are the worst. Just property and profit to most of them.
