Yeah I go past those houses quite often and always think that I can’t imagine how gutted they must have been when that road was built, they look so out of place.. Prob still cost a fortune tho!

Wow the difference is night and day. This view is now one of the most miserable in London. It’d be great if they could bury it… would take a good 500 years to complete
Always found the road fascinating and out of place so the widening makes a lot of sense.
Probably my favourite blue plaque on that road too which is Marcus Garvey’s who died there. Mad tidbit of American history in London, sad he didnt get to enjoy the trip on the A3 to Heathrow.
Good that they widened it, the A4 is one of the greatest roads in the UK
