  1. > The sitcom star recently joked with Yahoo! Entertainment about rebooting the classic sitcoms she starred in.

    > “Why didn’t I ever get on a show that could be rebooted?” she asked. “Because it seems like everybody [else is].”

    > “It was just sort of perfection — and you don’t wanna mess with perfection,” she said. “We’ve lost so many cast members, you couldn’t reboot it because it won’t be the same show.”

  2. Things don’t need reboots if the originals are available. That means they’ll reboot it when it’s cheaper to do that than relicense the originals. You’ll watch what you’re fed and what’s profitable.

  3. Is it because she’s too busy looking like a god damn rockstar?

Heaton was for sure the “tv mom” in my household growing up. It’s almost weird to see her look so cool.

    I think she’s right

  4. Is anyone even talking about this?

Sitcoms (outside of the Office) barely had a successful remake.

    Parks? Original

    Modern Family? Original

    Blackish? Original

    Brooklyn 99? Original

Who is calling for a remake of Everybody Loves Raymond?

  5. Reboot definitely not. However like a lot of great family shows I think they could continue it with the kids assuming the parent role and have it be successful. I expect we’ll start seeing a lot of continuations after king of the hill and Malcom in the middle start the trend.

  6. All 6 of the parents and one of the twins from Raymond have passed away. It just wouldn’t be the same without them in it

  7. The Middle? Perfection? The. Middle.

This got me to laugh, the Middle was an absolutely terrible show and went on way longer than it ever should have.

It is far from perfection, pretty sure nobody cares to reboot or touch that show again.
