Oooo didnt see an explosive at first is the leopard firing APFSDS insane video
Somebody is missing an armored vehicle, and it sure as shit isn’t that Leopard.
I wonder if the reason they are so close is the Leopard is making sure it isn’t blue-on-blue.
One shot one kill. Well, the one shot that we saw sure as hell was a kill.
I read somewhere that the Ukrainians said that when they shoot a BMP with a western tank “all that’s left is nuts and bolts”.
Does OP know (if this is from a Telegram source or such) if this is a Leo2 (I’m leaning on, from the rear-turret) or a Leo1A5? (with the birdcage sorta additions to the turret the Leo1’s turret can get bit of a similar-ish square like shape to the Leo2’s when viewed from this angle). I have heard that, despite the age and such, the Leo1 is good enough when used in correct situations (not trying to directly counter a T-72, but there are many other targets and fire-support situations it (afaik) performs well at.
Mostly curious, might also be apparent by the ammo fired. I don’t have the eye for that at all, admittedly. Myself leaning on the Leo2 but can’t quite tell the rear hull shape in this video (is my go-to for the Leo1 vs Leo2 for these angles).
I also do sorta dig the ERA addition on the Leo1, aesthetically (not to lose myself in such trivial things at the moment, most important is if the tools work well for Ukraine’s efforts).
Kaputt!
Feels nice to see a leopard 1/2 doing what it was designed to do – fuck up Russians.
