  1. Half of the time, food labels are created by the very same company which uses it as a flag

  2. I am going to have to be skeptical of a study stating half the people read the full ingredient list of what they buy and still find the label lacking.

  3. Country of origin is something I struggle to see on many labels.

I would love to know where the food I’m buying is coming from.

  4. Most people can’t be bothered to read it so yes, I suppose.

  5. Oh come on.
Carbs, fats, proteins and salt is enough to make 99% of the good decisions.

This is likely the type of people focusing on gluten free vegan low fat fairtrade bio organic meat replacements and still eating doritos every night.

  6. My biggest complain is weird but matters to me= i wanna know in what country it was made.

  7. Oh don’t worry, in a few years time there won’t be any information on your food label. It’ll be yet another shitty QR code. So if you’re allergic to peanuts, you’ll now have to scan every fucking thing you pick up, wait for some shitty ad-riddled page to load, solve a CAPTCHA, and then somehow end up on the wrong product page.

  8. Meanwhile in Latin American countries they’re effectively bringing down obesity rates with the introduction of simple, clear, large indicators on all food which contains certain amounts of calories/sugar/fat/salt/.. Not that completely ridiculous “let me lobby that for you” Nutriscore. So yes, I agree key information should be presented in a much clearer and more in your face way.
