As a dual citizen, I approve of this message
As a french, i have huge respect for UK values and support for Ukraine.
Wish my country were so brave.
As it should.
Keep calm and Slava Ukraini…!
As an American who is strongly in favor of good relations with the UK… I agree with these Brits.
Sometimes, in any friendship, the future well-being of the relationship requires some tough measures in the present. Right now Ukraine needs help, and America needs to hear loud and clear that they’re on the wrong side of the issue.
Another problem is that Trump is just a crime boss who threatens you to get what he wants, so it doesn’t even make sense to maintain good relations with him. You’ll just become his bitch. Even if you do everything he says (which would already make you beyond pathetic), it will never be enough.
This is the result of a fairly responsible government and much better public education than we have in America
Frankly I am embarrassed for America. They were our greatest ally. Yet with Trump sidling up to Putin this way; throwing Ukraine under the bus for money – after all they have been through.
It is sickening.
Trump has chosen to put the US on the wrong side of history.
I don’t even recognise the 20% who voted for the US over Ukraine? I can only think they are made up of the minority brainwashed by Russian propaganda on social media, or dare I say foreign born residents – although that just plays into the hands of the extreme right wing loons who are currently poisoning our country. The fact that only 48% responded positively for Ukraine might be the most depressing thing yet in an extremely depressing week.
As an American, my government is dead wrong on this. Wrong morally and on the wrong side of history.
The correct reply to this ultimatum by Trump is “eww, no”
By a large margin too!
They’ve stabbed us all in the back plain and simple, won’t trust the institution of America for a long time.
As a Canadian, I approve, and wish my country was as unified on the idea.
I’m from the US and so do I. Fuck these people around me.
+1 for Ukraine. I wasn’t asked.
You can’t maintain good relations with someone who doesn’t want to maintain good relations
British.
I choose supporting Ukraine over relations with Little Russia.
United we stand, together we walk!
The question is, what are our American cousins going to do about their corrupt government, that is at present dismantling their constitution that for 250 years was built on the concept of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Will you stand back while the backbone of America is destroyed?
America didn’t have Russia use a chemical weapon on their soil. If they had, they’d understand the kind of monster Russia truly is. Plus, we know better than most the price that comes with trying to appease a tyrant
Yeah!!! Rule Brittania!! As a Canadian, I’m happy that we’re allies and friends.
Welcome to isolationism America.
I don’t think people fully understand the war spirit unleashed by UKs support for Ukraine
Canadian here, I choose Ukraine over the us everyday of the week. I hope the disgust the wider world is feeling for trump and his betrayal of Ukraine ushers in a new partnership between all of the EU and Canada, and that the us is pushed away hard by all democratic nations
I’m British, and I hope our government continues to support Ukraine wholeheartedly until Ukraine gets the resolution it truly deserves as the *innocent* party in this war.
Of course I value our American friends and allies, but the UK should also be strong enough to do the right thing alone (or with the rest of Europe) if necessary. In this case the right thing is clearly to continue supporting the Ukrainian people and President Zelenskyy.
Trump owns a hotel in Scotland – can we please organise some sort of mass dog shit throwing event in the lobby?
Ukraine. **Without question.**
I have family in the US and it is sad the way it has gone, but the US electorate made their decision and in the past week – their leader has said his piece.
Now, our priority is rebuilding relations with European countries, protecting our continent and protecting Ukraine.
Us British can be a stubborn nation and we generally all come together when a bully tries it on and give a collective fuck you. Look at the Falklands. It wasn’t important as such, but a bully tried to take them thinking we would do nothing, and the whole nation took note and acted. We will do it again, fuck we would take on the world if we had to (again). The UK is stubborn and sarcastic and just how it should be.
This once again proves that the UK is without a doubt among our closest allies and good friends: the first who quickly and decisively helped us when this shit started, 3 years later and still going strong. Thank you so much, mates. ❤🤗
