For decades, we in the western democratic world have heard the US boasting in our faces about the US being “the land of the free” and the “shining city” to which all of us should aim to be like. If it wasn’t for the fact that so many people are being hurt (and worse), a lot of us would be laughing at just how fragile US democracy turned out to be and how fast it is crumbling.   15. As a Canadian, it was always hard for me to understand American culture. What was fascinating for me is that they like bragging about their freedom which was weird for me, because I didn’t think that I have any less freedom than them. I always thought ‘What is the difference’. However after today I finally understand it. For Putin, America is just so fucking free.

  21. UK here. I’m not rich, but I’m in favour of raising taxes and building up the military to stand against Russia, without America.

    I’ll go one further and say I’d think it justified for all options to be on the table when it comes to keeping Russia within its own borders, because a lack of resolve will eventually see Russian soldiers washing their feet in the Bay of Biscay.

    For the Europeans to make sure it ends without a fight, all they have to do is be cool with watching their wives, daughters, and grandmothers get gang-raped in public. For Russia to make sure it ends without a fight, all it has to do is fuck off home.

People that were invaded and asking for help are met with a $500Bn contract to give up their rare earth elements in exchange for humanity…..what a fucking piece of shit. And when he’s told that that isnt even a serious offer, Trump called him a dictator. These blind, tone deaf million/billionaires shouldn’t be running anything that sees lives weighed against fucking money. I really hope he lives another 30-40 years in complete poverty, begging for food and shelter. I hope the world is angry at this shit.

Wow that satire is even more hilarious now. Conservatives have been preaching about Democrats selling America to its rivals for decades, and here we are seeing it happen in realtime by a Republican, and every conservative is just looking the other way.
