  1. >Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix, emphasized the impact of this investment, stating it would create jobs and opportunities throughout Mexico, Proceso reported. “Investments in the audiovisual industry have a multiplier effect,” he said, citing a study that found the sector contributes $3 billion annually to the Mexican economy, with each dollar spent generating $1.6 in added value.

  2. Oh is that why I got an email this morning saying my subscription was going up to $25 a month.

    Time to cancel.

  3. It makes sense. Their content has been going south for years.

  4. This investment will be canceled after two perfect seasons with no resolution 🙂

All joking aside, let’s hope this leads to good content and not more telanovellas.

Nothing against them, but we have plenty LOL

  5. Today I invested in myself by cancelling my netflix subscription. Another price hike was the tipping point

  6. Will these shows all have a yellowish tint to them?

  7. Trump will probably try to stop it with an Executive Order. He’s pissed that his boss Musk wants to build a car factory in China.

  8. Trying to avoid being tariffed, the sucking up begins.

    American companies can go home.

  9. If this means more shows like Club De Cuervos then I am all for it

  10. Good news for the elite. Shit for the general population.

  11. Trump gonna tariff movies now.

That’s a joke, but I’m sure his people right now are trying to figure out a way to tax the shit out of movies from shooting out of the US

  12. We need to build a wall around nextflix before they take are jobs!

  13. That’s wild, would have been cheaper to just use the yellow filter and film in Texas.

  14. Now Mexicans can have access to mid original series that always get cut after one or two seasons! ✨

  15. They built up Korean and Indian films I. The US, why not Mexico? Or is that too close to home and they’ll take American jobs? Look out Hollywood.

  16. I’d invest half a billion in economic impact instead of paying taxes for infrastructure any day.

  17. And blocked me from watching my show to force me to agree to them increasing my rate once again to $18.99 when I was already paying $16.49
