Over 100 cocaine-straws were recently seized by authorities in the Dominican Republic.
The narcotics were discovered during a routine inspection at an international shipping company in the National District.
The discovery was made when a drug-detection dog alerted officers to a suspicious package containing clothing, fleeces, and caps.
Upon inspection, authorities found a hidden compartment between the box’s double bottom, containing 110 straws filled with approximately 300 grams of cocaine.
According to shipping documents, the package was sent by an individual allegedly residing in Villa Mella, Los Guaricanos, and was destined for a recipient in Hillegersberg, Rotterdam, Netherlands.
