  1. The City of Antwerp decided to set up the first emergency village in Flanders in order to house Ukrainian refugees. Mayor Bart De Wever (N-VA) had previously stated that he was a fan of collective housing, rather than individual accomodation with host families. The emergency village would be located at the green Middenvijver on Linkeroever.

Benieuwd of hij taaltesten zal afnemen aan dat nooddorp.

Edit: I mean, he really said that. Are y’all that dense? Lmao.

  3. “Emergency village” what does that mean? Tents? They’re allowed to stay 3 years, no questions asked. Can’t put them up in tents that long

  4. Ah, yeah. Get the credit for taking in refugees but dump them in the poorer parts across the river so you don’t have to deal with it because there won’t be enough funds to support them. That will work out great.

  5. Kinda hoping that victims of the floods still without housing show up, and get turned away. Just as an icing on the (poop) cake, y’know?
