  8. The answer is clear and simple, this gives reason to delegalize AfD, and ban twitter, might as well freeze all musk assets while at it. Or at minimum ban them from running for offices while the matter is investigated. Colluding with nazis is against German law, nothing else needs saying.

  16. There is one thing people not familiar with the German political landscape need to understand:
    Yes, the AFD is at around 20%, which is about 16pp more that I am personally comfortable with.
    But note that 80% of the other voters despise them.

    This is very important in the whole narrative of “having the second biggest party at the table”. 80% of the population would be strongly opposed to have them at the table.

  37. As an American residing in Germany, I’m at a loss for words on so many levels. I hate what is happening to such a degree that it’s causing me to really question my mental health for the first time in my life. I hate what is happening in the US. I hate what is happening to so many innocent Ukrainians. And I hate seeing the rise of hate, fueled by a narcissist tech-bro hellbent on fomenting more lies so he can pursue his dream of becoming a techno-feudal lord, or the pipe dream of colonizing another planet or perhaps even a ketamine driven vision of world domination.

    Americans have betrayed the constitution, and they’re going to taste a portion of the harsh reality they have imposed on so many other nations over the last 60 years.

    I only hope that Europe can unite in such a way that they make their own future. As an American whose family is German, I ask you, what can we do to support Europe?

  43. We need to start actually complaining to and boycotting companies that are still on X.

    I’m utterly fed up with all sorts of companies, and more shockingly, public bodies still using X. I get that there’s inertia, but this is going way beyond that excuse at this stage.

    Many of these organisations are happily delivering hundreds of thousands of their customers to that hellscape every day, and it includes a lot state agencies, public transport companies, mobile companies, major airlines, etc etc

    You might as well be advertising on the Lord Haw-Haw radio hour during WWII

  48. I am so sick of the ”left” needs to be the good guys. AFD will eventually win because of major voting fraud, desinformation, unfair social media algorithms. It would be so lovely if we as Europe can ban any political party that has ties with the enemy (now Russia) and support a lot of misinformation. I hope we can play ”nasty” as well…
