Producer prices in Moldova increased by 1.6% year-on-year in January 2025, rebounding from a 1.3% drop in the previous month.

This marked the first increase in producer prices since December 2023, driven by higher prices for manufacturing (1.7% vs 0.7% in December 2024).

Additionally, costs fell at a softer pace for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (-5.9 vs -25.1%).

Meanwhile, price growth slowed for mining & quarrying (10.6% vs 12.3%).

On a monthly basis, the PPI rose by 2.1%, after a flat reading in the prior month.
