Prices of products sold on the domestic market fell by 3.2 %, but prices of exported products grew by 2.6 %. Prices of products exported to euro area countries rose by 3.3 %, but prices of products exported to non-euro area countries – by 2.0 %.
Price drops in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply had a downward impact on the level of producer prices during the year. Price rises in manufacture of selected food products; waste collection, treatment and disposal activities, materials recovery, as well as manufacture of wood and of wood products had an upward effect.
In January 2025, compared to December 2024, the level of producer prices in Latvian industry increased by 0.4 %. The level of prices of products sold on the domestic market increased by 0.3 %, and prices of exported products – by 0.4 %. Producer prices of products exported to euro area countries increased by 0.6 %, but prices of products exported to non-euro area countries – by 0.2 %.
