Austria moves towards centrist coalition deal after far right fails

1. Let’s hope for the best. Kickl, the far-right leader, made some extreme demands during the previous coalition talks, including some unconstitutional changes, new roadblocks for our already hard to achieve citizenship, easing up on anti-nazism laws, cutting funds for holocaust-memorial organizations and basically lone control over the most integral ministries. Every time, FPÖ (far-right) has been in government, it ended in scandals with heavy corruption, easing up to russia in the worst ways, almost selling news agencies to russian oligarchs, the dismantling of our intelligence agency, social cuts without tax eases on the lower and middle class, hell, the conservatives once had to protect gay marriage from the FPÖ. The first major terror attack austria had in decades happend under the watch of Kickl as minister of interior.

   They are nothing but trouble for austria and sell ‘easy solutions’ for immigration problems and a bunch of naive austrians are gobbling it up, sidelining every major mistake they had made when they were the lesser partners of a government coalition. And all this is happening while there are again talks of messenger surveillance. Imagine a openly pro-russian far-right party with this kind of surveillance…

2. In a way I’m low-key happy right-wing parties go full blown fascists so “centrists” and neo liberals cucks can’t pretend not to have seen it and colaborate with them.
