‘What the hell do we do now?’: France hosts Ukraine talks following Munich meeting • FRANCE 24

Paris is hosting on Monday an emergency meeting with European leaders called by President Emmanuel Macron following the Munich Security Conference over the weekend that saw the US show little support for Ukraine. FRANCE 24’s Douglas Herbert brings you this analysis.

  2. Europe and the rest of the world have been sitting on their backsides regarding this. The prior US administration did the same. Now, someone is going to DO something and everyone is panicking? They well should. They could have and didn't. Now they can sit on the sidelines and watch. This has been going on for too long now. Time for it to stop. Same thing for Israel-Hamas. Everybody sitting on their thumbs.

  4. with all due respect ………..Prz Zelensky might say any thing…the ground reality is that everyone is protecting their own country's interest .Its now the 'Survival of the fittest' moment . and on a different note …………there are millions dying of hunger and the so called world leaders are spending billions on destructive weapons ……….🙃 and its amazing to see how the world viewers' focus is effortlessly turned from Gaza to Ukraine 😇

  5. It's a usual Western talking point about security guarantees for Ukraine. None of you hypocrites talk about security guarantees for Russia. Is Russia's security not important to the Russians?
    The encroachment of NATO is an existential threat to Russia and they have been sounding the alarm for over a decade but as arrogant as the West is, it gave Russia a deaf ear. And it's not that Russia didn't try to resolve the issue diplomatically. The West just showed emphatically that it is not interested in a peaceful solution to the crisis.
    After years of offensive posture towards Russia with no site of relenting, it beats you to the first punch. But all you do is portray the whole conflict as if it started in March, 2022 when a crazy guy named Putin just woke up one morning and decided "hmmm, Ukraine is a nice place to send in my army"..

    they should worry about the state of their deindustrialization
    they should worry about immigration
    they should worry about costly war
    they should worry about their inequal partnership with the US
    they should worry about high inflation, high cost of energy, food, accommodation, and high tax

  27. The problem is the reality is Ukraine is losing and facing imminent military defeat.
    There is no evidence that Russia wants to invade Europe. That is nonsensical propaganda.

    Please point me to a single Putin speech where he makes that claim that he wants to invade Europe?

    Suggesting that what Dugan says is the same as what Putin intends is like saying that because Brzezinski, former NSA, advocated for the break up of Russia and multiple neocon establishments have written similar things, that the goal of the West was to invade and break up Russia!

    These dishonest commentators on these channels are always pushing their own agendas

  28. The European delusion is frightening. Stop referring to NATO. It never existed. What existed was a US taxpayer funded European security force. You were told to rearm. You were told not to enable Putin. Trump is giving Putin nothing. Trump is giving Europe their adult responsibilities back… yet Europe continue to act like petulant children who have had their allowance denied. Weak, pathetic, crybabies. Literally! Good riddance.

  30. If they didnt cut defense so much after 2008, started boosting in 2014, Europe wouldnt jave a problem. Oh, well. Europe is no longer a primary concern. That part, at least, has to be done.
