    In short, what Fabrizio’s memo really says is this: Swing voters still feel financially precarious, even though Trump keeps commanding them to think they’re scoring “WINS!” under his glorious leadership. And fiscal policy that takes money from lower-income and working people to help finance lower taxes for corporations and the wealthy will be unpopular in these swing House districts.

    The memo essentially warns Republicans to stand for prioritizing lower-income and working Americans, not corporations.

    ….and then ask yourself if what you are seeing is the behavior of people that have any intention of allowing even the possibility they will be held accountable by an opposition party in a free and fair election.

  15. I’m not from the US, so maybe somebody could explain to me, why these numbers matter. It seems to me like the guy is in charge for the next four years. It’s not like him being unliked is going to change that, right? So he can just make up his own numbers and everybody that matters will simply cower in fear because he’s a petty sociopath.

  25. It’s almost as if he’s not concerned about his reelection. Which of course makes sense. Maybe he’ll try for a third term and maybe he won’t. But either way his popularity isn’t going to have anything to do with the outcome.

  27. The only way the ship changes is if people keep pressuring these politicians at town halls. They seem to crack when they receive complaints and boost. Either Trump won’t care because he is slobbering on Putin Cock, or he’ll shift gears to make his polls look good. Also, I wouldn’t doubt his team is already trying to rig the polls or not show Trump the polls.

  32. What bad news? He doesnt need any polls anymore. He is president for 4 years in his worst case and for lifetime in his best case. He said himself that he never has to campaign again.
