This weekend, it’s Iceland’s turn to select their entrant for Eurovision. Six acts have made it to the grand final of Söngvakeppnin 2025, but only one of them will walk away with that lucrative trip to Basel.
Our hosts for the evening will be Benedikt Valsson, Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir, and Fannar Sveinsson.
You can watch live from 19:45 GMT (20:45 CET). The show will be streamed on the official Eurovision YouTube channel, as well as on RÚV’s own website.

Söngvakeppnin 2025: Grand final
Results
In a change from the long-running tradition, the superfinal has been ditched for Söngvakeppnin 2025. That means there is only one round of voting this year.
Iceland’s Eurovision entry will be chosen by a 50:50 split between the scores of an international jury and the public vote.
Running order
Ágúst – “Like You”
Bjarni Arason – “Aðeins lengur”
Júlí & Dísa – “Fire”
Væb – “Róa”
Tinna – “Words”
Stebbi Jak – “Set Me Free”
Although all acts had to sing in Icelandic during the semi-finals, they must now perform in the language they intend to use at Eurovision should they win. Four of the finalists have chosen to switch to English.
