Gabriela welcomed her baby at that most royal of institutions, the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s hospital (where the Princess Royal, the Princess of Wales, and Princess Diana all chose to give birth). Gabriela expressed her gratitude to the staff on the private ward, writing that it ‘would be very hard to find more caring, lovely and wonderful professionals!
‘Huge thank you from us all – we will always be grateful,’ she concluded.
No doubt her close friend, Princess Beatrice, will be celebrating the news. The daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, is preparing to welcome her own second child, and she and Gabriela have long bonded over their motherhood journeys. Indeed, Gabriela is godmother to Beatrice’s first daughter, Sienna.
‘I’m so excited for Beatrice and it’s really good fun to be able to share my pregnancy with my friend, I don’t think I’ve ever had that before,’ the nutritionist told Hello! back in November, before revealing that Princess Beatrice was one of the first people she told upon hearing that she was pregnant.
