TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WKYT) -No. 4 Alabama swept the regular season series with UK on Saturday, handing the No. 17 Wildcats a 96-83 loss.
Kentucky (18-9, 7-7) raced out to a 20-9 lead to start the game. The Wildcats led 30-18 with with 9:37 left in the first half before Alabama went on an 15-2 run to grab a 33-32 lead at 5:18. UK never led again.
Koby Brea led the Wildcats with 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting from the field.
Amari Williams finished with a double-double, scoring 17 and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Andrew Carr finished with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
Alabama was led by Mark Sears, who scored a game-high 30 points.
Kentucky travels to Oklahoma on Wednesday. Tip is set for 9 p.m. on the SEC Network.
