Had Scarlet for 2 years, the first year everything worked fine because I only required basic stuff.
The second year is when the problems started. We have a server with a fixed IP and every day at 8am and 8pm we couldn’t connect anymore unless we forced a restart. Turns out that’s exactly when Scarlet does a DNS refresh and devices would get disconnected and their fixed IP wouldn’t apply anymore.
Then we had random outages. Whenever we called they blamed it on Proximus and couldn’t help.
When we finally decided to switch to Proximus they disconnected things in the wrong way which wouldn’t allow Proximus to take over the line. So we had four technicians come over to fix things.
First Scarlet who messed up, the Proximus who couldn’t do anything, Scarlet again and Proximus a last time.
This is now 4 years ago and I’m still salty about it. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
They moved my appointment to have internet installed in my new house twice just the day before the appointment. I would’ve been a month without internet just as the government mandated the remote work.
I switched and made sure it was because of their incompetence
We tried to become a customer but they skipped our appointments three times. I just flipped because i had to take a day off three times since they can’t tell a specific time of day. They just didn’t show up. The third time i was pissed and called them. I couldn’t help but yell. They hung up. (Understandable, but it enraged me even more) so fuck them. Assholes.
Seems nothing changed in the last couple years.
Had scarlet before I moved to a new place. I was late to announce my move but let them know there was probably an issue with the line. Scarlet technician came after 2 weeks and said I got no signal. Nothing he could do.
Different technician came 2 weeks later and said Proximus has activated the line but he has no signal, nothing he can do. Called helpdesk and they informed me it would be more than a month before someone from Proximus would come to fix it. I cancelled and got Telenet installed in 2 days.
I told them to reimburse my month of contract and for returning their equipment where they did not offer me service. I sent the proof from bpost for sending the package but they refused saying I brought the package myself.
Ridiculous! Afterwards got several calls asking to return to them en the sales person would not understand I was frustrated with them.
In the old days one just had to call Herman De Croo and your problem was fixed the next day.

Never had a problem with Scarlet. I have a tv, internet and telephony pack.

Have been a happy Scarlet customer for years. Before that, I had Teleslet but at times it would be really slooow plus it was expensive. Had an issue about two years ago and it was fixed pretty quickly. By a Proximus technician.
If you want the same network, good prices but much better service just go with edpnet.be. Been with them for two years and it’s been a breeze.
Today they called my elderly mom and made fun of her. Repeating what she says in a funny tone and such.
Really makes my blood boil.
