  1. These gimps will never give up and we cannot under any circumstances entertain them as having legitimate concerns or look for a compromise.

The buffer zones should just be the start

Additional legislation will be needed going forward

Don’t think we have won and can rest on our laurels here, this will always be an ongoing war against these extremists

  2. Same people are funding the anti-trans lobby via groups such as LGB Alliance, Sex Matters, and For Women Scotland.

  3. That couch shagger and his Orange Fuhrer need to fuck off and focus on setting up Gilead in America . We don’t need or want their pish here

  4. We need to move towards full legalisation.

We already see that Reform are angling for more restrictions on abortion so we should be moving the needle away from their goals as soon as possible.

  5. It’s harassment, I don’t cate what anyone says to defend these cretins.

  6. The US and its oligarchs are NOT our allies. They aren’t allies of Scotland, of Europe, nor the world. Always keep that in mind. Not only they love to pull this kind of nonsense in their country, they also have to go abroad with it.

  7. If it were a protest it would be outside Hollyrood. It’s an intimidation campaign, pure and simple. These people are fucking parasites and need to be slapped down hard.

  8. There are tax dodgers in the States that need to maintain their luxury lifestyle – so they have useful idiots go out to do this performative nonsense.

Utterly hateful and deluded cunts don’t care about babies – just keep the cash flowing.

  9. I’m not at all comfortable with these specialist interest groups giving financial backing to groups that want to break the law.

  10. Is this the legislation that means if you are within 200m of an abortion clinic you could technically be arrested for praying for aborted babies in your own home?

That’s fucking wild all the way around if true.

  11. If these people are so against abortion, then they should maybe get behind other things such as:

    1. Sex education
    1. Contraception
    1. Financially supporting children/parents

All things that their donations could pay for. Y’know, basically putting their money where their mouth is.

There’s a lot more as well (some women may be getting an abortion out of medical necessity, or after sexual assault etc) but the above is at least the basics.

  12. Might be American groups, but don’t they have people that were veterans of the “Keep The Clause” war working with them.

The Christian fundamentalist Dowson comes to mind…

  13. It’s only the thin edge of a wedge of ignorance, violence and serfdom to an inherently imperialist theocracy.

They’re already starting to invade the school system and book banning will be next.

  14. It’s interesting that they don’t focus their energy on school shootings and poverty amongst kids in America, they’re more interested in the unborn child in Scotland of all places. What about America first?

  15. I am at least glad to see greater attention being paid towards the issue of political dark money emanating out of the US

  16. As recent events prove, America is the enemy and we should treat any interference from that enemy state as such

  17. JD Vance’s vomit-filled speech at the MSC. Among a sea of lies and distortions, he claimed that the UK was arresting people for “thought crimes”.  In Scotland, private prayer in your home could get you arrested because it’s a “thought crime”,  and in England, “a poor army vet” Adam Smith-Connor was arrested for “silently praying outside an abortion centre, another “thought crime”

Vance… “Since last October, just a few months ago, the Scottish government began distributing letters to citizens whose houses lay within so-called safe access zones, warning them that even private prayer within their own homes may amount to breaking the law. “

Scottish Green MSP Gillian Mackay who introduced the bill for the buffer zone law, “VP Vance claimed that people in Scotland were told that private prayer in their own homes would be against the law within a safe access zone and that people were encouraged to report anyone they thought guilty of “thought crime.” This has never been true.

Significantly, JD fails to mention that the ADF has taken up the Smith-Connor appeal case.

The ADF is one of the most organised and influential Christian legal interest groups in the United States, Mike Johnson was a former ADF attorney and was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives. Amy Coney Barrett, Mike Pence, Bill Barr,  Jeff Sessions and Josh Hawley all have links. Following Vance’s rhetoric, we get these flagrant lies about Scotland (pic). McLatchie Miller is connected to groups like the ADF and other right-wing anti-abortion groups in America

  18. America will now shut down an agency that gave HIV medication in South Africa and support an evangelical hate mob attacking women at an incredibly vulnerable time…what would Jesus do ya cunts?

  19. Ireland had these flying over during the final choice referendum. They’re coming at it from such a different perspective that even Irish anti-choice groups (largely traditional Catholic) told them to fuck off.

I think it may tie in with their racist thing too, that they see Scotland and Ireland as white countries (well, sort of pale blue, going to bright red) and want us to birth children they can adopt to counteract the immigration from Central and South America and their own shallow gene pool.
