Es piedāvāju – protests par mieru. Nevajag mūs glāb un nekādu krievu tanku šeit nevajag!
Bet nacismam arī nav vietas šeit. Tam jāpaliek pagātnē.
Nato – izbeigt savu manipulatīvo stratēģiju un būt DEFENSIVE. Nevis passive agressive
Nemaz nevajag.
What’s exactly the point of this? All the lies, spinning of facts, miserable propaganda attempts and general shit stirring? It’s over, Russia is no more, it committed suicide the day it attempted to invade Ukraine. Now all that’s left to do is to wipe out all the soldiers who aren’t smart enough to surrender, and for putin to blow his brains out in a bunker.

GTFO!
Sorry, nevaru uztvert tevis sacīto nopietni, redzot, ka tu savā iepriekšējā postā esi rakstījusi sekojošo: “I am very curious what it would be like to lose your virginity in Hogwarts instead of your current reality?”
Mēs sitīsim tos utainos un tad tos zili pelēkos arvien, arvien, arvien, arvien, arvien!
Ok. To summarise:
• I let the police know that 16. march can be used for propaganda and provocations. Told them that in the comments we debunk the stupid theories, that Latvia “celebrates nazism” . And i hope i wasn’t lying. There are other Latvians in thread.
• I grew up in Russian speaking family and have tried to understand the 16 March myself and explained to my family too. They seem to understand
• I also explained to them why Latvians don’t like the monument and 9 May
• However, I will try to explain again – everyone suffered from Stalins regime. Not only Latvians were sent to Siberia.
• And please, try to understand that a lot of Soviet soldiers fell fighting against Hitlers regime. And as someone who doesn’t support anti-semitism, racism and xenophobia and god knows what else he had in his mind – Russians always will consider this as a victory. Why May 9, not 8? Because timezones. I don’t think that getting drunk and acting like a moron is a way to say thank you to the veterans. However, nobody should be shamed for bringing flowers and being there at that day. And same goes for 16 March. However, it’s a bit concerning to me that if I check Latvian laws… maybe I read it wrong but it seems like Nazi occupation wasn’t considered a bad thing whatsoever . Or at least not acknowledged as much as it should be. In my opinion. Taking in consideration our complicated history.
• I think we should try to look for things that unite us, not differentiate . Because these are hard times and we need to stay safe and strong. Together. Yes, a lot of russians need to work on their language situation . I completely agree with that. Makes me mad too, trust me. But russians aren’t bad people overall. We live here, pay taxes, contribute to economics etc etc. If we keep trash each other and live in the past – this “divide and conquer” crap will continue to haunt us and bring more pain and suffering. I don’t think I should receive unfriendly messages for Stalin’s crap. Neither you should for Hitlers. Let’s make our opinions and form attitudes based on the person values, manners, their attitude towards us etc .
Thank you ❤️
I heavily overreacted, i just got really scared. Like for everyone.

Well, this post is really very silly, it just looks at this situation from a very surface level.
The Latvians celebrating this “Nazi” event is the celebration of the Latvian Legion that yes was a unit in Latvia that was in the German ranks, however they were doing this because they were protecting the country from the Soviet Union that already was occupying Latvia before the Germans arrived and they figured they were the lesser evil and they were probably right.
They fought for a free Latvia. And they fought till the very end of the war still in Kurzeme.
And some lady with a Russian flag standing near these men during this day of remembrence is an insult. Given that Soviets punished their wives and children harshly, the Soviets hurt far more Latvian people than the Nazis ever did. That is not to say that bad things did not happen, because there were SS Latvian squads hunting Jews and all kind of mess too, but by in large most of them were on the Nazi side because it was the lesser evil and had less blood on its hand and shoved a glimpse of hope for a sovereign and free Latvia that Soviet Union did not.
