Sudan’s civil war is the cause of the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. The destabilization of Sudan has sent millions of refugees into neighboring countries, increased arms proliferation in the region, including to militant groups, and caused the collapse of the economies of both Sudan and (in part) South Sudan. State collapse in Sudan would threaten shipping in the Red Sea, a vital corridor for global trade. It’s weird to me that this gets basically zero news coverage at all. Even “good” news sites like AP are completely silent.
