  22. The scam was spending the contributions rather than investing them, effectively making them a Ponzi scheme executed by Congress and the Presidents. The politicians that benefited, and did not execute fiscal responsibility should be treated just like Bernie Madoff.

    The only legitimate way to fix the system is to have the federal reserve create the “stolen” money to make the system solvent again, and hold that money and future contributions in isolated accounts and properly invest the money.
