  1. >Zelensky is asked what assurances he needs from US President Donald Trump and whether he is happy to “give up” being president of Ukraine in exchange for peace.

    >He answers: “Yes, I am happy, if it is for the peace of Ukraine.”

    >”If you need me to leave this chair, I am ready to do that, and I also can exchange it for Nato membership for Ukraine.”

    >Zelensky says he is focused on Ukraine’s security now, not in 20 years’ time, adding that it is not his “dream” to remain president for a decade.

  2. This is what an actual leader looks like. No wonder Trump hates him.

  3. How is he still standing with those balls of gold… I have no idea.

  4. If only Trump supporters could read and not be blind followers.

  5. Zelensky is an actual leader and what a self made man looks like. Trump is a nepo baby and an idiot, which is why he hates him.

  6. Zelensky has shown exemplary performance as the head of a state under military invasion by a nuclear power, as have all those brave Ukrainians that laid down their lifes for the sovereignty of thier country.

Ukraine deserves a win and history similing upon her for the next few centuries.

  7. He doesnt want power he wants what its best for his people an actually leader.

  8. Hey, people, get ready for the American president to freak out. Zelensky has made preparations to launch the American president into orbit by blowing up his ass.

  9. Hey look, actual leader of his people. Unlike Putin and Trymp. Hilarious.

  10. Zelensky is a hero Putin and Trump dream to be, but never will.

  11. Oh man. I hope the outcome is positive for Ukrainians. Zelensky is a real leader.

  12. Tomorrow news:
Trump: “I am willing to give up my presidency if Ukraine joins Russia.” /s

  13. It shouldn’t be or, it should be and.

And the rest of Europe should hurry the fuck along and champion NATO membership.

  14. After what he seen of course he wants to rest and be with his family in peace and safety. And I suppose some therapy too. Idk how person can handle it and doesn’t break mentally eventually. It changed everything and everyone.

  15. I think this was always on the cards. It gives Putin his out of that he “denazified” Ukraine. As stupid as that sounds.

  16. Dictator, hmm? Trumpet be projecting, methinks. Here’s a proper leader.

  17. What an absolutely genius move. There’s no coming back from that for the Traitor 47 and Dictator Putin.

  18. In this conflict, I see the wrong country making concessions.

Ukraine should sacrifice nothing, and Russia should return the, since 2014, occupied territories to Ukraine.

  19. Zelenskyy will go down in history as one of the best and possibly most influential leaders in modern times.

Truly a man of the people. Ukraine is very lucky to have him. We are all very lucky to have him.

  20. He’s calling their bluff. We will see just how much Trump wants a just peace.

  21. This man is a giant, towering above these common thugs playing their dirty games around Ukraine.

  22. Musk and Trump hate him because he possess things that they could never buy with all the money in the world

  23. And Trump has the nerve to call this national hero a “dictator”.

  24. What annoys me the most about Trump’s comments is that when Russia invaded Ukraine, Putin expected Zelensky to go running for the hills. Instead Zelensky stayed, at the time probably expecting to be killed, and led by example.

There’s not a hope Trump would do the same.

  25. I can honestly imagine this guy just wants to sit by a beach somewhere with a cold beer and forget any of this shit ever happened .

I mean he was just a comedian before all this. Sure he was quite well known in Ukraine , but I don’t imagine he ever thought he’d be a wartime leader who’d locally be compared to Churchill . Just imagine the weight on his shoulders .

  26. It would be hilarious if he gave up the presidency to join NATO only to get re-elected

  27. Of course he is. I expected no less than that. That‘s who he is.

  28. Selfless. Cares only about his country and the people in it. A true leader

  29. He’s saying what’s important to him. Peace, Ukraine, the people. A leader that eats last.

Trump and Putin do clearly say what’s important to them. Money, power, expansion etc. They all eat first.

The challenge is that tech and media is influencing how and if the people hear what each say.

We can only look to our own values to decide who to support. Personally glad the UK and Europe appear to have mostly chosen to support Zelensky.

He’s a leader to be proud of.

  30. Giving up his personal power to get National Interest. This is why Trump hates him.

  31. Men, the real ones, willing to sacrifice themselves and their role for the good of their people, are born few like this. The Ukrainians, betrayed, mocked and blackmailed by overseas loan sharks, did not deserve this. I am a simple citizen, I am not worth a penny of the Ukrainian recruit, but if there is one thing I know, now that ‘the tide has turned’ as someone said, it is that the Americans can no longer be trusted as much as the Russians, Iranians and Chinese. MAGA you will answer in history or facts for this and when your enemies knock on your doors there will no longer be a Europe to pity you, now there are 500mln people who know who you are

Honour to Zelensky, honour to the Ukrainians!

  32. It’s time for Europe to thank the US’ previous administration help until last december, but that we’ve got UKR’s back and will see this through since what the Trump administration is doing is not only not helping at all, by selling out US’s allies to the enemy, but strenghtening Russia’s ego against the West.

Not only that, but if you watch the big 3 super powers USA is the only one without an “indefinitely elected leader”, and Trump is already:

    – Defunding education (keep the population dumb)
    – Floating the idea (twice already) that Trump should have a third term and calling himself king (which his supporters dismiss as joking and trolling)
    – Cutting social programs and cutting taxes on the rich
    – Replacing their military leadership with ones aligned with his views and who won’t oppose him in case of need (the military are fundamental to any dictator)
    – Repeating the Russian/Putin propaganda talking points by painting UKR as the villain in the story
    – His closest supporters openly doing the nazi salute to the world (again, just a joke, or a misunderstanding)
    – Meddling with Germany’s radical and neo-nazi right and encouraging it strongly
    – Floating the idea that Russia should rejoin the G7

The writings are all there in the wall. The only ones not seeing it are the wilfully blind or profiting from this situation.

“Once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern”. We’re already way beyond the third instance.

  33. Zelensky is hands down the greatest leader of the 21st century. Pray that we don’t need someone even greater.

  34. **Historic** doesn’t even come close to describing Zelenskyy.

    What an inspiration.

  35. I remember during the campaign for his presidency a lot of people (including me) were skeptical of him. He was an actor, with zero experience in politics. It’s safe to say he was definitely not my first choice.

But boy, I was wrong. He became one of the greatest presidents that Ukraine ever had. Fuck, one of the greatest presidents that the world ever had.

Edit: I know I live in Sweden, but my wife is Ukrainian. It might be hard for some here, but it’s ok to follow politics in countries other than your own.
