Following an impressive stretch in his rookie campaign, the Golden State Warriors elevated 2024 second-round pick Quinten Post from a two-way contract to a standard contract. With Post moving to a standard NBA deal, the Warriors had an opening with one of their two-way spots.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Warriors are signing point guard Taran Armstrong out of Australia to a two-way contract. The 23-year-old point guard played for the Cairns Taipans in Australia’s NBL.

The 6-foot-6 guard played two seasons in the NBL, averaging 12 points on 46.2% shooting from the field to go along with 3.6 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. Armstrong averaged 17.1 points, 4.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game this season for the Taipans.
Prior to playing professionally in Australia, Armstrong played two seasons at California Baptist in the WAC. In two seasons with the Lancers, Armstrong averaged 10.9 points and 5.6 assists per game.
Armstrong will join Pat Spencer and Jackson Rowe as Golden State’s two-way players on the roster.
