I have a vague memory of being able to see gollums balls slip out of the loincloth when they are crossing the swamp. Anyone got the clip for that?
The original rendition
That doesn’t top in strangeness the musical a theater in my hometown did. I think that they used the same music from the original Ryhmäteatteri production as the tv series but there were some interesting choices, like Balrog was a mostly naked guy who was painted white (and in true small town fashion I think that he was an asshole who had dated my friend briefly or something like that).
I was a pretty picky Tolkien fan though, I haven’t really liked any adaptation I’ve seen so far.
TF is this
This is actually pretty incredible
I see why nobody knew anything about it, completely shadow the Hollywood production.
What the hell did I just watch and why did I enjoy it?

Finlands best kept secret.
Absolute masterpiece.
We were supposed to keep quiet about this dammit.
