I think we already established many times Belgians just rock at complaining, even though we’ve nothing to complain about. There aren’t really many “real” issues in Belgium, so that’s why they invent new ones that nobody cared about, and make it a thing.
I demand methodology.
For *who* is it the best quality of life?
*What* are the elements used to compare? *How* were they weighted?
*How* was the data collected?
I don’t disagree with the fact that we have extremely high standard of living, even though these standards come at a steep price (hello taxman), but I somehow doubt that the US, with its >.5 gini index, should be ranked 14th.
When i look at international news i’m glad i live in this country
Compared to other countries our problems are almost always of the smaller kind.
I always describe belgium as a shitty country to visit but a really good country to live. We’re boring, bland and don’t make much of a lasting impression but in comparison to many other countries, that’s really a good thing.
Well yeah, Belgium isn’t that bad. Every country has its issues. I’m sure there are Fins complaining as well.
We tend to be blind to the advantages of the country we’re living in. I left Belgium 4 years ago, there’s a myriad of small things I miss dearly 🙂
fuck them dutchies woooo hell yeah!!! lol jk
But Bulgaria is so much better (for IT people with Belgian clients and no health issues or dependants)!
Noway Belgium is above Nederland and I lived in both.
The infrastructure in Belgium, just look at it. Or go to Antwerpen (aka Pakistan) or the Emirates of Brussel 🤣 and tell me it’s better than the Netherlands. And I didnt even talk about the third world country ( I know its a region) called Valonia. Smh, bad list.
We never are.
People love to complain about how bad it is here and how nothing functions.
But really as a whole we’re doing quite alright, there’s definetly a lot going very well.
Remember the program *op één* where they’d visit the best and worst country on certain statistics? And then at the end they’d show where Belgium was at the list and it turns out we were almost always among the best of the world. It really made me appreciate living here more.
It says “according to the CEOWORLD magazine 2021 report,” on the source. So it is only for CEOs. Thus, USA is at 14th and not lower. So if you are a CEO in Belgium, you are doing quite good. If you are not a CEO, personally I think it is still not bad and good but not as much as 4th rank.
Wow. Belgium is ahead of my country, Canada. Good.
“intrestingasfuck” It’s good to know, but is it that intresting?
I don’t want to go that shit is fake.
But put the international numbers of suicide next to it and it becomes very questionable.
