COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Hundreds of people gathered at the Boat House Event Center for “Rock the Runway,” a local fashion show aimed at promoting heart health.
The event was organized by 100 Black Women Columbus Incorporated, a nonprofit dedicated to education, health and wellness, financial stability, and social justice for African American women.
In addition to showcasing fashion from Columbus designers and models, doctors provided actionable steps women can take to promote heart health.
These steps include limiting processed foods, staying active, managing stress, and getting regular checkups.
ABC 6’s Alissa Henry served as the emcee for the event.
