Man, I’m dreading the idea of watching any documentaries when just these photos along with ones I’ve seen of Gaza fucking crush my soul. Kids and pets walking around destroyed homes and equipment just makes me feel extra miserable and guilty.
The Antonov one especially hurts my heart. I miss that bird.

I hope there will be a just peace for this war. I fear that won’t happen, but its been absolutely wild seeing drone footage of people our age getting blown to bits, close enough to see an expression. Its the first time in our lifetime the general public sees it like that. Its awful. I want young Ukrainians and Russians to stop killing eachother. 3 years in a few days.

Totally unrelated fun fact, you can see in the last pic of the firefighters they’re helmets are the old German design used by the nazis (likely manufactured long after their reign) After WWII pragmatic allied nations in Europe repurposed a lot of the nazis equipment. For example the Nazi soldier’s helmets became adopted by firefighters and being a good helmet design kept being used long after the war.

And to think none of this should have even happened. The sheer amount of lives lost , and forever changed, is just so tragic. It doesn’t look like it’s going to come to an end any time soon either. This shit is depressing.
