14. I love how in a sub supposedly about economics people are using “trickle down” still. That term was literally used as propaganda and was never actually a thing that was supposed to happen, its called “supply side” economics and of course it works unless you think the government is better at spending your money than you are.

    “BUT ROADS AND POLICE AND FIRE DEPARETMENTS!!!” There are a few exceptions to what communal spending can do, but in almost all situations you are better at spending than the government.

    Tax cuts for the people who pay taxes did two things: Let the people who paid those taxes keep more of what they earned AND provided more revenue for the gov’t.

    Worked for JFK, Reagan and Trump. Would’ve worked for Bush 2, but he back loaded the cuts to take place at the end of his second term, just in time for the liquidity crunch.
