  1. For me, it was around the time Heartbeat or London’s Burning came on. As soon as you heard Trevor McDonald you knew it was all over.

  2. For me it was Heartbeat, London’s Burning and Where the Heart Is.

  3. Yeah, but the hope that the ‘temperature’ that you were using an incandescent bulb and a facecloth to increase when your parents werent looking…

If you were still in the ‘sickness’ running when the Howard’s Way theme tune came on, you were in with a chance.

  4. Southbank show. Still no idea what it was but I shuddered to hear that music because I had never done my homework for school the next day.

  5. For me it was Big Break when that ended it was over. Unless I stayed really quiet and if I was lucky and they forgot I was still downstairs i may have been able to stay downstairs longer. Trying to fight the inevitable lol.

  6. Songs of praise was the beginning of the end of the weekend

  7. And now it’s the best part of my weekend – is that Antiques Roadshow starting?! Quick, pour a red wine!

  8. Weekdays it was the BONGS of News at Ten, although there might have been The Professionals on after that, a treat I would struggle to stay awake to watch.

  9. Call the midwife for me.. it’s also such a depressing show sometimes, hardly a jolly way to end the weekend

  10. Or….Sunday Radio 2……Sing Something Simple and Charlie Chester, the sound of a derelict nursing home….

  11. Juliet Bravo for me…..Sunday Scaries at 6 or 7 years old….

  12. Switching Channel 4 off immediately after Simpsons so you wouldn’t watch Hollyoaks

  13. That’s life also triggered that for me. As well as the horse racing being on channel 4 all day.

  14. Just had this conversation with my other half, for me it was the end credits of That’s Life with Esther Rantzen..

  15. Ski Sunday and the Grand Prix used to signal the end of talking to my old man as he assumed the shouty sports fan mode. I used to love it when it was WWF but someone on skis, kicking a ball or driving a car, ill go play Syndicate on the Amiga for 2hrs.

  16. Countryfile for me. Roast dinner, bath then sat in front of countryfile while my mum did my hair

  17. In South Africa it was the Carte Blanche theme song, that’s when the weekend was officially over.

  18. I forgot about this until I saw this meme, man the sickening feeling of school the next day lol

  19. You’d get a bugs bunny cartoon just before though. And I always like the Points of View music.

  20. Hehe, this brought back some truly beige, woodchip wallpaper memories!
