  1. Yep hydrogen has a long way to any viability. Would need all new infrastructure.

  2. Let’s start with the fundamentals: Society demands electricity 24 hours/day; 7 days/week; 52 weeks/year.

Renewal electricity is intermittent: solar only produces electricity when the sun is shining and wind only produces electricity when the wind is blowing.

So you need a storage system. And your choices for storage system include lithium batteries–which are efficient but would have unaffordable capital costs for large scale storage or something like hydrogen which is inefficient but has affordable capital costs.

  3. Hydrogen hypnosis needs to die right away. This is just costing us money.

  4. TIL
    >it’s an indirect greenhouse gas due to slowing the decomposition of methane in the atmosphere. As a note, three years ago we thought it was only 8 times as bad as CO2.

  5. Meanwhile , while the West hamstrings its economy and energy security by pushing windmills / solar farms and EV’s , China and India are building MULTIPLES of Coal burning Power stations every month .

They must be laughing themselves silly at our antics .
