Sorry if I’m being naive but why do we need a code word? Can’t women (or men for that matter) just tell staff they don’t feel comfortable/safe with their date?
This would really suck if your name is Angela.
Of all the priorities of the London Mayor, this should not be near the top.
Why is this the mayors role? Or is this just another thing the right can bash him with.
I also hate that this ANGELA thing has now become total public knowledge. Surely that defeats the purpose.
Concentrating on the Ask for Angela part is a bit misleading. This is a report suggesting the Mayor take more of a firmer stance on licensing conditions. Now considering how much bally-hooing there is on here about London nightlife, I agree that the Labour Mayor should be working closely with the Labour Councils on WTF is up with their licensing, because it’s currently not working and we should question why we have a Labour Mayor who seemingly makes no impact on Labour Councils.
Lmao I thought this was about building more homes and his need to cooperate with Angela Rayner 😅
I’m not overly convinced about adding a levy to stadium tickets. It’s already costly enough to go to a gig at a stadium, plus if you miss out on tickets, generally due to scalpers, you’re paying resale… maybe when they do something about that first, we can talk about a levy.
The whole initiative is completely meaningless at this point. Scrap it and come up with something new
