    When “Emilia Pérez” was celebrated at Sunday’s SAG Awards, Karla Sofía Gascón was far from the spotlight.

    Not only did the Spanish actor skip the award show, but she also seemed to have been largely cut from a segment highlighting the much-lauded musical crime comedy.

    In a supercut of the film’s highlights, its leading lady only appeared for a split second while supporting stars Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña took up most of the screen time.

    Gascón has been keeping a low profile after a slate of offensive X posts she once made resurfaced late last month.

  3. That’s sad. She did deliver a great performance as an actress but flushed it all down the toilet when she forgot the good ol advice: when you have nothing good to tweet about anything, don’t tweet at all.

    Proves it’s not about inclusion, it’s 100% only about “representation for my group”…

    Can we go back to the best actor/actress/director/movie win and it’s not about how many minorities are represented to get consideration?

    I got as far as Zoe’s musical number at the beginning of the movie, then shut it off. I couldn’t watch it.

  24. I always want to yell whenever this movie comes up that >!Conclave!< is the better movie featuring a trans character.

    But that’s a spoiler, so I have to sit quietly and keep it to myself.
